i'm in awe of your moving costs. have you considered a do-it-yourself type move where a budget or uhaul is rented? also i've found that getting boxes from grocery stores helps cut down on costs big time.

oh my moving costs are for being unemployed for 4 months. eek i should have specified that.

ok, forgive me for not getting it.. i'm clearly missing something.

how would being unemployed affect the cost of a move? it would seem that if you got a quote on a move at $6500 that would be independent of your employment status.

She means that once she gets to Austin AFTER she moves she would be unemployed. The money she's saving up is so she can survive in Austin without a job, it's not money for physically getting her things to Austin.
