I've been 2 months boots on the ground. Things are going well over here. A couple of weeks ago we had a barrage of mortars/IEDs/rockets through out the week and it was just crazy/annoying/scary. Things have calmed down a lot. This morning I heard a fire fight in the distance with a loud ass bang. It looks like...overall...things aren't really ( Read more... )

Don't mind the loud bangs LT its always like that there. At least it was in 03,04, and 05 each time I was there ;)

Have fun and get one of those chicken sandwiches outside the gate if you ever go on patrol. Some people don't eat from the street vendors but I had nothing but good experience with them.

Oh, and I saw you in the Photography section and was just curious who plopped down 4k+ on a Mark II

I have an EOS20D and settled with four 512mb Ultra IIIs. However your camera takes much larger pictures so I'd go with the 4gig.
