Oh wow, that's pretty bad. But I'm only two weeks into my history class and already I've heard gems like these:
"Roman and Romanian aren't the same, guys." Because apparently the teacher needed to explain this.
"...No, that's Estonia, not Finland."
"Japan isn't in Asia."
"Wait, where's Iraq again?"
"But Russia was referred to as something else in 1938 (damn it I can't remember the date). Does anyone know what?" "Romania?"
"How do you spell 'Afghanistan'?"
And all too many more... that flag one is still pretty bad, though.
Also, uh. What's the appeal of those Flair things? I mean, I know the collections are pretty cool to look at, but. Yeah, I don't get it. Is there some other reason people collect 'em?

Oh god, that reminds me of this question I saw in an online personality test some forever ago: (this is all from memory but the concept is intact)
Where would you like to live?
a) Tokyo
b) Japan
c) China
d) Vietnam
e) Asia
It's like multiple-choice, Escher style. D:
As or the appeal of flair, I'unno . . . they're fun? Kind of like bumper stickers, you can show off your opinions or things you are a fan of on them.
Also, on a more personal level, I have a jacket that's friggin' covered in buttons and pins. I guess Flair is an extension of that. :<>
