This may not even be necessary, but since A) I am an organization freak, and B) the community could benefit beyond just the tagging system to keep things in order and properly explained, I thought- well, why not? So here's the to-be constantly updated fic list with information, pairings, and as few spoilers as possible in the grand scheme of things, so you know what you are getting into before you get 2 chapters in and start screaming 80,000 words?! what the jumping Jehovah's witnesses is going on here?!
A little about Katy and Jamie
They met in the Final Fantasy XII fandom since they both shipped the best and most banter-ific pairing of the game: Ashe/Balthier, and consequently wrote fic for it. Jamie likes to claim that the only reason she started writing fic at all was because of Katy, but Katy's ego doesn't need to get any larger, so for all intensive purposes, they both wrote fic and sort of stumbled upon each other. Clearly, great things were to come, since former collaborations have netted such gems as EmoJournal and Barack and Friends at Hogwarts.
A little about why Katy and Jamie write such weird junk
Unfortunately, we find history fascinating. We also find researching to be a fun activity done to enrich one's mind and understanding about the world. We enjoy well-plotted, for-the-most-part historically accurate AUs because they offer a wide variety of new and exciting locations, events, and places to work with, in addition to sort of stretching our boundaries and forcing us to pay more attention to various aspects of characterizations in order to keep things as AU and not as 'random stories with names you might recognize'. This is why we write mostly historical AUs of some kind- they are interesting! They are fresh! They make us think and work hard, and we are M.
So without further ado, the current fic list with synopses and other interesting tidbits (maybe someday you will need to know these things for your appearance on Jeopardy).
Language Barriers Do Not ApplySynopsis: Matsumoto Jun meets Zac Efron at a Hollywood get-together, and things just spiral out of control from there in a tangled web that involves far more people than just them, and a host of problems that they didn't see coming- and obviously, the language barrier that never seems to be as big as it ought to be between them.
Pairing(s): Matsumoto Jun/Zac Efron, Matsumoto Jun/Sakurai Sho [hinted Zac Efron/Vanessa Hudgens, and Zac Efron/Ashley Tisdale]
Rating: Chapters range from T to NC-17
Word Count: 59,429
Warnings: Language, explicit sexual situations, abuse of Rosetta Stone by all parties, stalking, alcohol use, and Vanessa Hudgens.
Soundtrack:
HereInteresting Tidbits: 'LBDNA' started as a drabble-esque crack-pairing fic by Katy and got expanded upon enough to where we decided to just write the whole damn story. This is why the beginning feels very disjointed: it wasn't meant to be anything longer, originally. The dates in this story are actually correct, at least in relation to the days of the week they correspond to, and this marked the first fic where we google mapped out actual locations to use.
A Storm in the WestSynopsis: Rapid Springs ain't much but a dying town in the New Mexico desert, but Sheriff Sakurai isn't going to let it fade away under his watch. It's just too damn bad he didn't count on falling right in the middle of an old, blood-soaked history between Ninomiya, the saloon owner, and the traveling gun-for-hire Matsumoto Jun.
Pairing(s): Matsumoto Jun/Sakurai Sho [with bits of Matsumoto Jun/Ninomiya Kazunari]
Rating: Chapters range from T to NC-17
Word Count: 100,102
Warnings: A shit-ton of language, explicit sexual situations, lots of violence, potentially triggering consent issues, graphic medical situations, buckets of angst, and dropping g's off the end of half the dialogue.
Soundtrack:
HereInteresting Tidbits: This story started when Katy lol-ed through gmail "imagine Sho as a sheriff!". This story also has the distinction of featuring an original female character who not only is the catalyst for the entire situation, but also goes through 80k of story without ever receiving a name. The ending to this was not planned out until it happened: and now you know our secrets.
The LostSynopsis: Matsumoto Jun doesn't know much about what is going on when he's shoved into a 'Safety Center' with a hundred other university students to keep quarantined, but things start to reveal themselves as the threads of what is happening outside unravel. Post-apocalyptic take on the zombie genre.
Pairing(s): Matsumoto Jun/Sakurai Sho, Ninomiya Kazunari/Ohno Satoshi
Rating: Chapters range from T to NC-17
Word Count: 69,703
Warnings: Language, explicit sexual situations, gore, intensely frightening situations, emotional trauma, loads of death, and hilarious killing of KAT-TUN members.
Soundtrack:
HereInteresting Tidbits: Neither of us wanted to write zombies, but we stupidly put it on the 'next fanfic reader poll' and it was the overwhelming victor. Since neither of us enjoys horror movies, there were only a few movies actually watched for reference, and a lot of wikipedia plot synopsis pages read. This marked the first fic in which the end was actually planned out from the very beginning; it was also the fastest we've ever finished a fic this long. We spent more time on google maps than anything else- all locations are factual, save for the university (though the location we put it in is correct in regards to what was around it).
Angels With Two FacesSynopsis: North Hollywood. 1938. There's a serial killer running free on the streets and the FBI sends in one of their own to try and clean it up with help from the local LAPD station. But there's far more to the story than meets the eye, as G-man Ninomiya is about to find out.
Pairing(s): Ninomiya Kazunari/Matsumoto Jun
Rating: Chapters T through NC-17
Word Count: 68,842
Warnings: Language, excessive drinking, graphic violence, criminal investigations, Jun with a golf club, and more cameos than you can shake a stick at.
Soundtrack:
HereInteresting Tidbits: This one took a long time to get started because of how tightly plotted it needed to be- we have a flowchart we made with an online program tracking everything, right down to the dates. We also did not thinking writing about a murder investigation was going to be so freaking hard.

Based on True Events The Lost: ReduxSynopsis: There's more to the story than what happened during those months, and it's far harder to rebuild a country, and a life, than it is to tear it down, as everyone is learning.
Pairing(s): Matsumoto Jun/Sakurai Sho, Ninomiya Kazunari/Ohno Satoshi, Aiba Masaki/Vaughn Becky, Ikuta Toma/Kato Ai
Rating: story parts range from G to NC-17
Word Count: 61,053
Warnings: Blood, zombies, being a sequel/prequel, language, explicit sexual situations, video game references, and Akanishi Jin.
Soundtrack: Found via the website
Interesting Tidbits: Our NaNoWriMo, sort of, project for 2009 that actually hit 50,000 words. Backstory, side stories, and continuation of the story we were the most attached to. This is the only story we wrote in its entirety before posting at all, largely without letting anyone know what we were doing (which was WAY harder than we thought it was going to be- keeping quiet for a whole month was torture!). There's an Easter egg on the site, for those willing to click around to try and find it. ;)

Center of Adrenaline |
Wolf at the Door The Lower DecksSynopsis: There's jobs in unfortunate places, jobs with unfortunate people, and jobs that are just plain unfortunate: then there is the Floating Sakura, which seems to be all of the above.
Pairing(s): Aiba Masaki/Ninomiya Kazunari, Matsumoto Jun/Sakurai Sho, Nagase/the Ladies
Rating: R
Word Count: 41,395
Warnings: Language, sexual situations, bad jokes, pop culture references, Penthouse reader letters, awesome pirates, and Nagase fits every cliche in the American rock life.
Soundtrack:
HereInteresting Tidbits: This was our first "humor" story, despite being what we are. Originally we were going to hold off on the good jokes and work up to them, but it became a one-upping contest every time we traded scenes on how funny and ridiculous this story could get. We were also being RIDICULOUSLY slow at writing this due to writer's block, real life scheduling problems, and the fact that sometimes we are just not all that funny (shocking, I know).
The Lost: Butterfly Squashed //
Butterfly Flew [two-shot]
Synopsis: A corresponding and overlapping look at what could have been had the ripples not extended the way they did- chaos theory done in the simplest way possible.
Pairing(s): Matsumoto Jun/Sakurai Sho, Ninomiya Kazunari/Ohno Satoshi, Aiba Masaki/Becky, Ikuta Toma/Kato Ai, Akanishi Jin/OFC
Rating: R
Word Count: 10,883
Warnings: Language, violence, zombies, chaos theory, alternate timelines, and AU-ing our AU.
Interesting tidbits: This was written for the one year anniversary of the date in which we used in The Lost as "zombie day". I think we actually whipped this up in a matter of days since I wasn't watching very closely with the dates and nearly missed the one year anniversary of the supposed Z-day. We are very fond of the "what-if" scenario, and really enjoyed getting to go back and show what the world we created might have been like without the destruction.
Written in the Chalk Dust [one-shot]
Synopsis: Single mom Becky is working hard to keep her life in order; which is apparently the perfect set-up for her neighbor Akanishi to throw absolutely everything out of alignment.
Pairing(s): Akanishi Jin/Becky
Rating: PG
Word Count: 10,142
Warnings: Cavity inducing het-romance, children
Interesting tidbits: Jamie prompted this on a "prompt me with shit you know I'll want to write" and we ended up getting so excited about the idea that we did it together. Any excuse to work in Jin's love of kids, I guess, and our favorite JE girl. :)
Either Way, I'll Break Your Heart Someday [one-shot]
Synopsis: Of all the things he'd done in his life, leaving had been one of the least selfish, hadn't it?
Pairing(s): Akanishi Jin/Kamenashi Kazuya
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 8,444
Warnings: Language, speculation, really bad timing in regards to actual RL events
Interesting tidbits: This was our fic for
je_ficgames , where we signed up to write together. It suffered the incredibly unfortunate distinction of being released a matter of days after the A/KT-TUN split was announced, and we did not mean for that to happen.
Parting Words~
We really, really love you guys. :D And we know we are seriously slowing in terms of collaborations together, but that doesn't mean we are abandoning them.
