         Sometimes I wish I could just roll a dice for direction (N,S,E,W) and just start driving, turning around whenever I reached the ocean (or the roads ran out, in the case of going North).

I know what you mean, I decided that I'm going to do just that when I graduate. After I've done the whole "responsibility" thing, I'm going to say fuck it and do what I want! We could travel together! Engineers in trouble...make it double!
