It's only 100 words, so I didn't bother to cut... I still owe people fics, and I still need to get back to working on the Saga moose_mcmoose and I are writing, but this suddenly popped into my head, and I thought I'd share!
Helpless
“House, the weather is lovely. Let’s go to the zoo.”
House glared at Wilson. “Are you insane?” he then asked, “I don’t do zoos. Cripple, remember?”
“Don’t be like that. We’ll get a wheelchair. I’ll push you. It’ll be fun.”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because people will think I’m a helpless cripple.”
Wilson laughed out loud. “House, trust me… no one will ever think of you as ‘a helpless cripple’. An obnoxious, loud, bad-tempered, impatient, scary and cynical cripple, yes. A helpless cripple, no.”
House tried not to smile at this, but failed. An hour later, they were in the zoo.
