I can relate. Really. I could have basically posted some rantings very much akin to this last night...but, I didn't have the foresight to do so, so I went to bed muttering about it to myself instead.

And, that last statistic: I have heard that before and, it's a sad one to realize!

I know how you feel. I could not stand it when my brother was going out with his ex. He was never home, never seemed to notice me when I was talking, and then was mad when I made hime noticed. Thankfully that is all over now!
