...when BK is preferable to the dining hall? I've officially burnt out my taste buds.

Sandwiches and stuff I can still get a variety of - cheeseburgers, hamburgers, fish sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, pork sandwiches...okay, I'm making myself slightly nauseous just listing that, maybe I'm not so all right with that. But healthy eating for me besides ( Read more... )

My cheat at uni was cheat-sweet and sour. Literally, whatever veg I could find on discount, whatever meat I could find, and cook it in a mixture of tomato ketchup, vinegar and sugar. If I had soysauce and sesame oil, all the better. But a batch of that is pretty good ( ... )

I found a spice mix that makes plain pasta damn tasty. I do have access to an oven at Dad's, and I'm sure Razzle will know how to make carrot and parsnip crisps. If I could get a small blender, that would also be awesome, because those breakfast shakes Dad has are amazing and actually quite healthy. And while I would love okonomiyaki, I'm pretty sure a griddle won't be allowed. Thanks for the help, Addy <3.

Give Razzle a call and take her out to lunch at your dorm sometime. She can create recipes from almost anything. Maybe she can give you some pointers on foods you don't normally eat. Or suggest spices that will make the normal stuff taste new.

Do different dorms have different meals or providers? I remember you saying there was one dorm that actually offered a real cafeteria. Can you hit there for some meals when you are out for classes?

Razzle is definitely going to be my best bet here. On Saturday, she helped me discover a combination of spices that can make plain pasta taste awesome - the pizza spice and the lemon pepper. With my normal eating habits, I should definitely have enough for her. Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

Different dorms do indeed have different meals. I've been making use of Ballantine where I can, but it's generally quite crowded.
