*Thorn sits at the garden's edge, frowning deeply. He is angry with himself for forgetting his books in the Nexus, and even more annoyed to have found them gone when he slipped back in for them later. Leela comes through the house slowly, not calling out his name, but looking around, listening for sounds of someone being home. She unpacks the backpack, placing Thorn's books on the counter. With a heavy sigh, she slips out the back door and takes her shoes off.

She heads down to the bed of thyme and chamomile, and lays back on the low-lying herbs with her head on her arms, tries to think of a way out - any way out of the mess she's gotten into this time.

*He is not immediately noticeable, silent and still at the garden's edge and wearing the black cloak Tonks gave him for Christmas over his clothes to keep out the cold. He worries his lip when he sees her, and clears his throat tentatively.*

Hearing a sound, she suddenly sits up, looks around. Peering into the shadows near the edge of the boundary, she sees something - she thinks. "Thorn?" Then louder she calls out once more. "Thorn? Is that you?"

*He nods, then realizes the gesture is unhelpful in the twilight.* "'M 'ere, Miss Leela." *He gets down off the tree stump he was perched upon, and approaches very hesitantly.* "Din't want to disturb ye..." *His manner is clearly more reserved than usual.*
