A few points of criticism: 1) You probably need a bigger hard drive. You won't be able to do shit with 36GB. If you only use this for gaming (no music, no movies), you might be able to squeak by. 2) The CPU fan is unnecessary. I don't know if you're going to OC your CPU, but I did that to mine and I'm still fine with the CPU fan that came with my AMD chip. 3) You don't need the thermpaste at all. Those are meant for Intel chips that have heat problems. 4) Take that money you saved and get this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824218003 Only $160 after mail in rebates.
i would need the thermal paste if i'm installing the cpu fan, right?. i am planning on oc'ing it, but i suppose i'll try it out without the fan first. i'd rather have them here if i run into problems than have to order them and wait another week.
i'm planning on picking up a second, larger, slower (7200rpm) hdd later, but i figure this will last me for a few months, at least. i also have my laptop + ipod which will add another ~40gb for pure storage purposes.
