Plot Bunny Fred Haunts Me
I have this little plot-bunny named Fred in my head and he gives me little ideas all the time. Just so I don't forget them (for fest prompts and such) I'm gonna drop them off here.
If you know any fics with these ideas, please let me know! I'd really appreciate it.
Just assume they're meant for Harry/Draco fics because I don't read much else.
When Harry divorces Ginny he gives her a choice: She can either have half (or whatever the appropriate amount is) of the Potter fortune but her name will have to revert back to Weasley. Or she can keep his name but give up all claim to the Potter money.
Ginny leaves Harry for the Minister of Magic because she wanted to be with a man who holds power and uses it. When Harry was with Ginny (or even afterwards) he heard that the current Minister was a shoe-in for a second term. In spite, Harry runs for Minister of Magic against the current Minister and wins by a landslide due to his popularity. Former Ministers are not monetarily taken care of like former USA Presidents so what little money the former Minister had dries up quickly, compliments of Ginny's need to pretend everything is fine.
Harry's been divorced for a few years (Ginny's already remarried and happy, everything's good on that front) and he hasn't come back into the dating scene. Albus and James decide he needs to get out and find someone. So they sign him up for a wizarding dating service (like internet dating). Knowing that Harry Potter is a name that would cause chaos they sign him up under a pseudonym. When he gets home from work the kids inform him of what they did and get him set up to start talking to people. The thing is that the kids were a little hasty and selected Harry as open to male and females or maybe just males. Harry takes it in stride and decides to give it a try, at least he'd be making friends. Draco is also under a pseudonym since Malfoy still isn't the cleanest name. They correspond back and forth for a long time and finally decide to meet. They meet up at a muggle park since it's safe, they can't use magic and will have to avoid making a scene. Eventually everything works out for the best. - Scorpius might have signed Draco up for the dating thing too, maybe him and Albus (and James) plotted this.

Scenario: Ever since all the kids 'left the nest' to Hogwarts Ginny's sexual tastes started to wander to the younger, beautiful, foreign men she'd meet in Quidditch. Harry's luck has been in the dumps ever since. He's passionate about very few things these days and has decided to focus strongly on his son's 'inappropriate' relationship with Malfoy's son. (Only because he's a Malfoy, Harry's not a homophobe or anything.) Scorpius devises a plan to distract Mr. Potter from their life and get him thinking about living his own. And maybe bring some life to someone else in the process.
- I was going to ask for post-divorce for Harry and Ginny but I'll let you choose that. You also have free reign on Astoria's status.
- Also, feel free to interpret this any way you want. It doesn't have to be exactly what I asked for. I just really want scheming!Scorpius.

Harry's chest-monster in HBP is caused by Voldemort because Harry's his horcrux. A Volde/Ginny type thing where Volde's soul feels that she is his because of the events that took place between them in CoS. I was thinking it'd be a great basis as to why Harry wanted her despite not caring about her before and give it an easy out to their relationship post-war.
