Do you have a Strongs concordance? I shall have to think on it...
My Inspired version reads like this:
"Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church."
In Greek it means anguished, burdened, persecution, tribulation, trouble. That is for the word afflictions. Gives you a lot to think of.. I think he could be afflicted through what He went through, as in He was persecuted and burdened for us and because of our sins.
