[Background]
Because I’m too lazy [Personality]
Dastan’s most remarkable personality traits are his courage and nobility. He is not afraid to speak out his mind, like he did in the market against the King’s soldiers, or in the war council, before the attack on Alamut. When his brother took the decision to attack the sacred city, Dastan offered to lead the attack, knowing that he could lead one that would spare many lives. And even though he was refused by his foster brother, he still went against his older brother and he went on to find a way to get into the city and open a gate without having to kill too many people, consciously defying his family, but for a good cause.
Dastan always tries to do the right thing, even if it means that he has to sacrifice himself. He literally killed himself to make his brother understand the power of the Dagger of Time, so that he would be cleared of all charges against him. Despite that, Dastan can be a bit selfish when it comes to sacrificing others, especially those he loves, as shown when Tamina explained that hiding the Dagger back in the rock where it came from would mean her death as well. Dastan simply told her that he was ready for that option yet.
The Prince of Persia’s desire for good deeds makes him a little bit naive. He was easily fooled and lied to by Tamina and it took him a bit of time to find who the real traitor was in his family, even if he had put all the puzzle’s pieces together. He also refused to use the Dagger of Time for his own benefit once he understood that it was the real reason behind the attack on Alamut and that in the wrong hands, it would be a very powerful weapon. Instead of using it to bring back his family, he helped Tamina to hide it, even if it meant losing the chance to turn back time to before everything happened.
Family is very very important to Dastan. He places the opinion of his foster brothers and of his father above anyone else’s. He was very distraught by the death of his father and even more so when he was accused of killing him. Each time he encountered his brothers during his journey, he always claimed that he was innocent, always reminding them how their father always taught them that their bond was the sword defending the Empire. Seeing both of his brothers die at the hand of the enemy only fueled Dastan’s need to make things right once and for all.
Despite the fact that Dastan seems to get along with his brothers very well, the Prince of Persia doesn’t always feel like he belongs in the throne room, probably because of his true origins. Instead, he prefers to spend time with his soldiers, other street rats that were recruited by him, and especially with Bis. Though he respects the traditions of his people, he doesn’t seem to give some importance to them, forgetting to get a gift to his father when the King finally joins them after the victory over Alamut.
There are not a lot of things that Dastan fears. He can withstand extreme heights, heat and impending doom without blinking, always finding a way to get out of trouble (usually by doing some impossible stunts). But even as fearless as he is, Dastan gets all flustered and usually loses his wits around beautiful and strong women. His father teased him about it, saying that this might be the reason why he doesn’t have at least one wife, unlike his brothers.
Lastly, Dastan can be pretty witty, has a good sense of humor and isn’t afraid to make people laugh, even if it means getting ridiculed. He can be charming and has a generally good personality.
[Specialties/Abilities]
Dastan is able to jump greater lengths and heights than most humans. He is extremely agile and can rarely be stopped when he tries to run away or climb a wall. He is also fit and can fight with two scimitars at the same time. He is also skill in stealth.
[Affection]
Dastan is open to any kind of relationships with women, but he might be totally derpy if you come one to him really strongly. But overtime, he will warm up to you if he finds you interesting enough. The Prince of Persia does come from a culture where men are polygamous and allowed to take several wives. Though he is honorable and noble enough to only choose one at the time.
Bromance is totally something Dastan is going to need overtime since he is going to miss his family dearly. Any character similar to his brother will easily win his loyalty and affection.
[Fighting]
The Prince is very much human, so he can be injured in a fight. He can be killed as well, but please contact me about that first. He is a pretty decent fighter and can be a challenge to any other fighters. He is street wise and will use his abilities during a fight, especially if it means for him to gain the upper hand. Despite coming from a family of conquerors, Dastan is not prone to violence, especially if the fight can be avoid. But he will never back down from a challenge and will do anything to protect those he cares about.
[Other Permissions]
The Prince doesn’t have any protection against mindreaders so feel free to pick up his thoughts. As Persia may be an Empire that existed in some characters’ worlds, it’s okay to fourth wall a bit about that. He is not going to be very surprised that he’s from the past since he does understand a bit about time travelling. For any other permissions you want, just contact me, I’m always open to torture plot about my characters.
[Other Facts]
He is still in possession of the Dagger of Time, but it is empty, so he can’t turn back Time anymore. However, he WILL be overprotective of the Dagger, just in case the Sands of Time can be found in Somarium.
Aksh (Dastan's canonical mount)
[Character name] Aksh
[Age]He's a stallion, so I'd go with 7 horse years old?
[Point in time taken from canon] After the Sheik is being caught riding him in Alamut
[Why this character is an "add-on"] He's Dastan's mount throughout the movie
[Background]
Appearance:
Without his movie make upWith his movie make up on There's not much known about Aksh. He is the most know horse in all of Persia and belongs to Garsiv, Dastan's middle brother and head of the Persia Army.
After being wrongfully accused of his father's murder, Dastan stole Aksh as a mean to get away from Alamut with Tamina. That same night, Aksh saves the Prince's life by pushing the Princess on Dastan's command. A few days later, Tamina stole Aksh from Dastan after knocking him out. Sadly for her, Dastan was able to find her again and get the stallion back.
After much traveling around, they went back to Alamut, where the Prince played a subterfuge on his uncle and gave Aksh to ride to the Sheik. The merchant was of course caught and Persia's priced stallion was sent back to the army's stable.
[Personality]
He's well trained and seem to be a more intelligent than usual horse as he obeys Dastan's silent command to push Tamina. He's strong enough to carry two adults for a very long period of time but he doesn't seem to like being ride on in the desert.
[Abilities]
He can gallop, trot, munch of green grass and carry heavy loads. He seems to understand what he's asked off....He's a pretty normal horse.
