-WILLIAM'S POV-(past tense)
“It’s easier for me to say goodbye, William. I’ve learned not to get too attached.” I stood in the middle of the street, shocked at what my boyfriend was saying. It was like Gabe was explaining why he wasn’t sad, but what wasn’t he sad about? I didn’t get it.

“Gabe, what are you talking about?” Gabe closed his eyes. Suddenly, something clicked in my head. “Are you breaking up with me?”

“I’m sorry, William, it has to be like this,” he said. His voice showed no emotion and that was starting to piss me off.

“No, no it does NOT fucking have to be like this. You’re MAKING it like this; it’s all about what YOU want. So, I guess you don’t want me, huh?” Gabe shook his head, and turned; I could see tears start to form in his eyes and for some sick reason it made me happy.

“You don’t understand, I don’t love you, William. I can’t be with someone I don’t love.” I opened my mouth to yell at him when his words really sunk in. He didn’t love me. So, all those times he had said so were a lie… Every single fucking time he had whispered how much he loved me, that he would do anything for me, he had been lying the whole time, that fucking bastard. I hated him, but I loved him at the same time, it was unavoidable.

“Gabe… why are you doing this to me?” I asked, if my heart was being broken I wanted to know why, I needed to know why. Gabe did nothing but shake his head and walk away. “Gabe!” I cried calling after him, he didn’t turn back, or even show that he’d heard me. But, there was no way he hadn’t. Yet, he continued walking. “GABE!” I cried again, but this time it came out as more of a sob because I was sobbing, I had dropped to my knees on the pavement. All I wanted was for Gabe to acknowledge that he had heard how desperate I was. He didn’t, and I went faster down my already accelerated path to depression.

-GABE’S POV- (present tense)

“… I can’t be with someone I don’t love.” Fuck, I don’t know how much longer I can lie to him like this, he’s one minute from breaking down, and I’m ten seconds from holding him and telling him I’m lying.

But, I can’t do that. There’s a reason I’m leaving, and he can never know what it is, he’d be too ashamed of me. He’d be glad I was leaving. It’s time to find myself; I need to know why I’m like this. Why that girl so many years ago cursed me. Because she did, I don’t know how, but I know why.

“Gabe… why are you doing this to me?” He asks. I can’t respond. If I do the tears that I am trying to hold back will come out and he’ll know it’s not him so he’ll think there’s still a chance when there’s not. There can’t be. Instead I turn around and start to walk away, hiding the tears that begin to freely flow when he calls my name.

Well, that was a job well done, I tell myself sarcastically. I just broke the heart of the one I love, left him sitting on cold pavement, and it was raining the whole time.

A/N - I know what you're thinking right now. WTF is with the weird tense stuff?! I tried to make Gabe in past tense like WIlliam's but my creative abilities would not let me.Sorry for any confusion on that. But, I labeled it so I hope that makes it better.
So, onto the real shit, do you like it? Does it suck? I want to know! Because I'm kind of not sure where to go with this...

PS: For those of you who read IKYTTISSLYITYT it is quickly coming to an end. Two more chapters I believe? And I was going to write a third one but I wrote like three chapters and they sucked because I knew what I wanted to happen but I couldn't get it into words and shit.
