Honest opinion. The ribbon just doesn't need to have presence in a "bigger than the flower way". I think it you just made it thicker on the first one instead of elongating it on the second one it would give you what you're looking for.

Some guys are ok with that, it's just finding two that work well together that can be the problem. Unless they happen to be interested in each other anyhow? :P
