I meant to spend today getting ready for my Christmas company. Instead I just did a whole lot of nothing. I walked around Saint-Germain-des-Pres and through Luxembourg. Stopped and had some coffee. Found "The Bell Jar" translated into French at a bookstore and bought it for Arnaud for Christmas. Bought Le Petit Prince for myself (dare I try?).

it's ashame you don't have two le creuset crocks. you could bake bread in one of those... sort of. i baked bread in a metal pot over an open fire once but i forgot to add the salt so it was worthless anyway. it's amazing what one little tablespoon can do to an entire loaf.

I almost bought a couple because they are so cheap here. Problem is getting them home which is already going to be tough cause of the massive amount of things I've acquired.
