i miss writing fic

I freakin' miss writing fanfiction. It's been months since the last time I wrote one.

New ideas keep flying around in my head, but none of them stay still long enough for me to write the story. I've been jotting down the ideas in an attempt to keep up.

How do I kickstart the writing again?! ::pokes at list of fic ideas::

Maybe having a deadline/writing goal will help? How about joining the secret santa exchange over at dormant_muses? Hehe XD /shameless plug

Seriously though, maybe it will help if you do set clear writing goals for yourself. :) I miss writing fanfiction too, actually! I think of writing them now as a sort of break from writing originals, ehehe ^^;

I start by reading fics (sometimes from my favorites list, sometimes I browse for new ones). After that I reread some of my own works. Then the next thing I know I'm writing again.

I haven't tried prompts but I think it's worth trying. There are some communities here on lj for that, maybe they can help you. ^^
