With livejournal getting quieter and quieter, I think it's time to start openly and randomly posting controversial opinions. Opinions such as "leggings are pretty fucking awesome

Leggings are fine on other people; unfortunately, I have flashbacks to my 80's childhood when I attempt to wear them.
Tell me more of DeConnick's Captain Marvel! I just picked up her Avengers Assemble and, you know, my draw will become far too reasonable when I drop Thor: God of Fratboys like it's hot.
DeConnick's Captain Marvel has been excellent so far. It's fun and funny and has so many female characters. So far there's been time-travel, aliens, a Mecha fight, and trying to get the cat to the vet. Jessica Drew keeps showing up and Monica Rambeau was a two-issue guest star.
(Andrade's art isn't bad, it's just really distracting in an action book, particularly when there's more than one thing happening in a panel. Maybe I'l get used to after a couple issues? His blog.)
Leggings with a miniskirt over the top is practically my uniform. I looooooooooove them.
My only issue with leggings is when (mostly) teenage girls wear them with short tops that don't cover their arses and don't appear to realise that they're basically see through and everyone can see their pants/bums.
TB also wears leggings under his jeans the whole time and then just on their own around the house when he gets home.

God yes. Also seen on much older Dublin lady bending over in front of me recently (black leggings, white knickers).
I am currently wearing leggings under my jeans, as I am want to do between November and March.
Your second sentence reminds me - 'mid-tone caucasian'-colored leggings are much less good. I've seen a handful of people wearing those and I've thought for at least a double-take that each one of them was naked from the waist down, regardless of skin tone of the rest of their body.
