Scene: A motel room. Somewhere, USA. SAM sits at the tiny table under the window, his laptop open in front of him; he's researching. DEAN is doing whatever it is that Dean does while Sam does the research, and they chat idly, unconcerned and relaxed, until suddenly, CASTIEL appears.

CASTIEL: It’s time.

PSH. DEAN AND SAM ARE TOGETHER AGAIN, THE GLORIFIED EXTRA IS LOCKED UP IN HELL (which is apparently 10 bazillion times worse than what Dean suffered, but whatver. Details.), EVERYTHING IS RAINBOWS AND NOTHING HURTS.

I must have imagined this Adam fellow. I mean, clearly he's just made up, right? Because if he was actually a character on the show then we should have heard something about him. Hmm. I have a crazy imagination.

THIS. THIS IS SUCH A PERFECT DEPICTION OF SHOW'S ATTEMPTS TO SHOVE ADAM UNDER A RUG AND FORGET ABOUT HIM.

I watched "Point of No Return" last night, and the entire time Adam was on-screen, all I wanted to do was hug that poor, beautiful boy. You'd think after PoNR, they'd be all gung-ho about getting him back (I mean shit, they basically sacrificed Cas for him) instead of being all "Who, Adam? What? NOPE, I DOES NOT KNOW WHAT YOU TALK ABOUT"
It's weird and inconsistent and makes me snuffly.

plus, Dean and Adam are a fantastic Wincest combination, given their phenotypic similarity awesomeness. Just sayin'

Is it bad that part of me wants the s6 finale to be Adam appearing out of nowhere and shooting Sam and Dean in the kneecaps?
I like to think that Death mentioned Adam for a reason other than "well duh, he was down there with Sam". I also like to think that the writers aren't incompetent, too.

I'm trying to tell myself that these writers really aren't as dumb as they seem, and Adam is going to be the surprise plot twist at the very end. Dreams. I haz them.

That is not bad. That is very very good. I want Adam to come back as the next Big Bad. Just torture the hell out of Sam and Dean. That's the least they deserve.

You know, I initially shipped Dean/Adam, but now I much prefer Sam/Adam. Of course, Sam is my fandom bicycle so it's not like it's an ingenious idea or anything, but I really really love those two together. Plus Dean's adorable when he's jealous, so it all works out ;)
