But it continued to hate me... I failed pretty much every roll that mattered the first time (healing you, using my force power). Felt like a sizable waste.
I wonder if I'd do any better if I started rolling inverses (so 21-1d20) :p
I agree, I'm not a huge fan of the electronic dice rollers, either. Seen far too many wonky results from them. Unfortunately, I can't think of a better way to roll.
It's funny, when that program seems to hate someone for a session, it REALLY hates them.
Strangely enough, according to a friend, WotC actually hired physicists to help model actual dice tumbling for the dice roller program they're writing as part of the D&D Insider stuff... o.O
The program has disliked me for 2 or 3 sessions now; it's only this time that it moved to full-on loathing ;p
It's possible that was for when they had the animated dice rolling (as shown in the preview videos back at Gen Con). Though I think they said you could turn it off, as watching dice roll in slow motion isn't that great an idea :p
I wonder if that would help the feel though--like if you subconsciously see how the die is rolling and so are less surprised at the result that comes up. Interesting thought...

LOL. I think maybe you need to find a way to make some sort of sacrificial offering to the program before we start next session. I just don't know what you'd sacrifice, though. :)
