After leaving the Elric Apts, Riza makes one last stop before returning to the safehouse.

fuhrer_mustang Y!Riza> ::left the Elric Apts, kinda wandering back to the safehouse, thinking... then detours, going to the hotel to see if the Fuhrer's there; knocks on the door:: >_>
Roy> ::Glancing over at the door.. heading over to it, peeking out:: ... Oh, hello. >_> What can I do for you? Your Major was just here earlier....
Y!Riza> >_> I figured... ::little frown:: ... ::thinking for a moment:: Did you already by chance tell him anything about your trip to Rizenbul in '10?
Roy> ::Shakes his head:: I hadn't, yet. I considered that further in the future than he was wondering about.
Y!Riza> ... It might be. I was talking to the other one, the one, um... at the Elric apartments? And it came up. ... I was just wondering, in case we go back, should one of us go out there earlier?
Roy> ... ::Crosses his arms for a moment, thinking:: ... Come in. ::Gestures her in::
Y!Riza> ::stepping inside, hands clasped in front of her, watching him::
Roy> That's not really an easy question to answer... The boys had a hard time of things even before I showed up.
Y!Riza> But if they never did the transmutation...?
Roy> It's not that easy. They had people they knew who would have tried to talk them out of it. Their teacher, for one. They were just kids who wanted their mom back, I doubt they'd be willing to listen to a stranger. Especially -me-, with how I act...
Y!Riza> ... then why didn't they talk them out of it?
Roy> Because they didn't know, first of all. Second of all... Ed's got something of a complex. He carries the world on his shoulders, and may whatever power you believe in help you if you tell him that he's wrong and he doesn't believe you. ... If you -did- want to go there before it's too late, you'd have to go there sometime before February, 1910(?). That's when they did it. I really do think highly of them both, but... Ed especially doesn't believe that he's wrong often.
Y!Riza> ... we could always tell them, show them if needs be, about the Nexus.
Roy> You would undoubtedly have to show them. >_> ... I'm not sure if it would work or not. Family is everything to those boys, and their mother meant the world to them... ::Thinking:: ... ! ^_^; Sorry. -_- This isn't an easy topic to give advice on, by the virtue of how difficult Ed can be.
Y!Riza> ... ::slight shake of her head - that's fine:: ... If you could go back to beyond that point, would you think it worth the effort to try?
Roy> ... I think that it would be worth the effort to try, at least. ::Nods::
Y!Riza> ::nods:: I'll keep it in mind. ... ::hesitates:: ... ::has no idea how to even begin wording everything else in her head:: ... Thank you for your time.
Roy> You shouldn't go just yet. ::thinking:: If you -do- want to do this, you need all the information you can get... Have you seen any versions of Ed's brother that aren't flesh and blood?
Y!Riza> ::shakes her head::
Roy> ::Nods:: I doubt that bringing the boys to the Nexus will accomplish anything until you can find one of them. He was sealed into a suit of armor when his body was destroyed.
Y!Riza> ... hearing it from one of their alternates wouldn't work?
Roy> I doubt it. It's really something that needs to be seen in order to believed.
Y!Riza> ... I'm sure one of them will at least be able to help procure the evidence, then.
Roy> ::Nods, thinking:: ... They don't think highly of the Military, either. Part of that is due to a close friend of theirs having their parents killed by a state alchemist in Ishbal. ::Going into that any more? Hell no:
Y!Riza> ........ >_> ... Is this friend a blonde girl?
Roy> It is.
Y!Riza> ..... I see. ::slight pause, thinking...:: ...This teacher you mentioned? Is he or she in Rizenbul?
Roy> ::Shakes his head:: No, she lives in Dublith. Not very fond of the military, either. ... She's passed away in our world, but that's still many years ahead in your future.
Y!Riza> ::gets out the notebook, writes:: What's her name?
Roy> It was... Inami? ... Izuma? ... Izumi! Izumi Curtis.
Y!Riza> ::writing that down:: ... Thank you for your time.
Roy> ::Nods:: You're welcome. I wish you luck in this endevour.
Y!Riza> ::looking at him a moment longer... not even sure what she wants to ask, just... still bothered by what Ed said, but eh... like she said, they're not their alternates, so just... forget it:: ... Thank you. Good luck to you too. ::small nod, turning away and opening the door::
Roy> ::Studying her for a moment as she turns:: Is something else bothering you?
Y!Riza> ... ::pausing, not turning around:: ... Not really. Just working to keep in mind we're not our alternates and vice versa.
Roy> That's quite true. ::Nods:: Your future is what you make of it.
Y!Riza> ::nods, glancing back:: ... Thank you. ::stepping out::
