Gayoon sat carefully to the side, hands in her lap, trying not to look nervous. Because Heo Gayoon was never nervous, of course. But she was nervous - her stomach was rolling slightly and she thought she might just faint dead away, and it was only her stubbornness keeping her upright. The idea of trying out had been a faint one, but it had grown bigger and bigger and now she was actually auditioning. She'd never sang in front of an audience before, the closest she'd ever gotten to a musical was karaoke rooms during the weekends, so she was prepared to be completely horrible. But what she wasn't prepared for, nerves or not, was backing out of something without giving it a try ( ... )

Yoonseok in fact was not late at all. He was further back in the fixed seating area of the auditorium - where unluckily late people usually were seated when there were school announcements. This way he could be far from anything and see if he can hear the auditioning students' voices all the way from the back.

With a sigh, he pulled the heavy megaphone his wife gave him for the day from the seat next to him. His deep voice would reach the stage with no problem but he wanted to be heard no matter what.

There was a beep before he spoke into the device. "This is Hwang Yoonseok, head of the Glee Club. You can't see me right now but I see and hear you. Please keep your voice in range for me to hear you right at all times." Another two beeps before he spoke again. "The auditions are filmed. Acapella and MR is accepted. Stage is yours, please have fun."

He tried to be as straight to the point as he could be. This was an audition after all; Being cold was a must.

Gayoon held her hands together to hide the way they were slightly shaking, the only sign of her discomfort on stage. It felt like her stomach was going to jump right out of her body, and it wasn't the best feeling in the world - most possibly the worst thing she'd ever felt at all. The CD was handed over, before she moved to the middle of the stage, and her eyes roved over the people in the seats. When she saw Yoseob she had to smile slightly, and instantly felt a little better. At least she had someone cheering her on.

She took a deep breath, signaled she was ready, and the first measures of the music started to play. She let her eyes close for a moment, before she opened them again, and let herself fall into the role she had practiced obsessively for the last few nights in a row ( ... )

Ah it was not good to be late for these things, hopefully he wasn't as late. He briskly walked in to the room, CD in had and all the materials he needed, was already, somewhat dressed the part. The costume wasn't all the difficult he just matched the setting of the story. He was nervous why? It was his first time coming out in front of the student body with an imaginary cardboard statement over his head that said, 'I can sing and I'm good at it'. He would never sing in front of a huge crowd, singing was reserved for special occasions but he wanted a distraction, he wanted to be busy, it wouldn't be bad to try.

When he slipped in Gayoon was already up on stage, slowly walking up towards an empty seat he sat down and smiled at her, hoping she would see but she looked a bit nervous. Seeing the stage, the lights and the people didn't help . He practiced a lot before this though until the late nights, practiced for a song from another musical. "Go Gayoon-ah," he whispered under his breath as he cheered her on in secret.

Kwon glanced up as Gayoon stepped up onto the stage first, listening to the megaphoned instructions from Yoonseok seonsaengnim. He stopped drumming his fingers against the arm of his chair so he could settle his attention on the girl's audition, taking a moment to look around. He could see Yoseob somewhat near to him, who had even dressed up a bit, and he smiled to himself. He too had brought something that he'd taken from the story to add character to himself, though it was a simple mustache he'd gotten from a costume store. Just to try and look more Italian - even though his character wasn't really Italian - he had been pretending.. but Kwon had to still pull off the Italian vibe, right ( ... )

It took him a while to decide whether he should step inside the gymnasium thingy. For a long while, he just seemed to pace back and forth outside its doors, wondering if he should do this or not.
He felt the same way he did in his first audition in middle school. By no means was this his first musical, and yet it felt as if it was. He remembered what his friends told him, about gaining self-confidence and taking chances. If there were people who believed in him, why didn't he?
With a shake of his head, and a clench of his small fists, he made his way into the gymnasium, and walked to the stage. There was no way he'd let this opportunity slide past his fingers.
"My name is Kim Jongwoon, and I'm auditioning for the role of Sweeney Todd. I'll be singing Epiphany from...Sweeney Todd." he said ( ... )

Younha had been there the entire time so far. Sitting patiently in one of the rows of the auditorium as she watched those who were chosen to go before her each climbed onto the stage and did their auditions for whatever role of their choosing. To say that Younha was nervous would be an understatement. It was an abnormal emotion for her, but by god did she feel it. She was only rarely like this when it came to doing things onstage for glee (unless she had to like, do some elaborate dance routine or something, which was quite rare for her), but this, this was a whole different beast ( ... )
