One of my friend's student's horses dies this morning. The horse was being braided at the horse show (where my horses and I are) and got loose. The horse ran onto the exit ramp of the highway and was hit. The horse and the woman driving the car were both killed. Please pray for my friend, Winn (the trainer), her student that lost the horse, and

That is terrible. We had the same sort of thing happen a few years ago; horse broke lose whilst being lunged, jumped over the brick wall enclosing the show grounds ONTO an oncoming car...crazy.

My thoughts are with all involved.

Oh my god, that's horrible!

Something similiar happened a few years ago, a girl in my 4-h group was bringing her filly from one barn to the other and somewhere in between she spooked at something & took off...she ran onto the road & got hit by a car, but she lived somehow. It was especially sad because she was so young, had so much potential, now she has difficulty with her legs & back so she can't be ridden at all, and she's almost 6 or 7 years old now.

I will keep all of this in my thoughts.
