No, not really, blogging just wasn't working out for me, regardless on my feelings about LJ as a platform. I experienced a renewed desire to chronicle my life/experiences etc last year and played around with
blogger / blogspot before settling on

I've often thought this about Hollywood movies, in that the standard middle American accent represents the heroes/good guys and any other accent (including Oxford English) usually is associated with the bad guys, or in this case, people to not take seriously. OTOH, in my pre-aware state (thanks mawaridi et al for educating me), I would have innocently found all
those side-kicks funny. Comedy has historically been full of caricature accents (eg. Pink Panther). Now it requires a little more awareness and
intelligence to make inoffensive comedy.
Coincidentally, another friend you may not know has had similar issues with Star Wars episode 1/2, which I also seem to recall was full of ethnic stereotypes when it was totally unnecessary, being non-Earth races.
I haven't seen Happy Feet, but now I have even less reason to.
