Well, the Indiana Legislature has approved the Major Moves bill...the long and the short of it is that it means leasing the Toll Road. Whee! The only part of that bill that really concerns me is the US-31 bypass that they want to build between South Bend and Indianapolis, more specifically the part that goes through Kokomo. that's funny, considering the stretch of 31 in kokomo was originally built as a bypass around business (original?) 31...

Indeed...and the SAME thing will happen to the new one, so I don't know what they think they're going to accomplish, except to piss me off and tear down the house my grandparents have lived in for the last like 45 years.

as far as redudant bypasses, I was in LA when I visited Jeff, he is great since you wanted to know...but I digress....it has so many I this and that, but all of them are something-05. 90% of the interstates in the city are in 405, 705 and various other ones. It is kind of sad the state of urban sprawl. The part of major moves that drew my attention because it was on the news, was the house saying that I-69 won't go through Perry Township, which is south Indy or somewhere close. So they can't even agree on routes, so financing is just the first issue.

Well, Daniels has already said that he wants to start that construction in 2008, and I know the Howard/Tipton county bypass route has been decided, as they've already started buying up property...

It's sad that they'll have to sell (if in fact they do), but they might make out like bandits on it. Especially if they wait just long enough.

This is true, but I think it might cause mental breakdowns all over the damn place. And they don't need money, they need to not have to move all the 5 tons of shit they have in their house. :p
