Mine got picked! :D Here's why I chose the fallow deer for you:

* Fallow deer are usually solitary animals and so is our applicant.
* They are also crepuscular, which fits in with her favorite time of day.
* They are agile creatures, and the applicant wanted to be agile and fast, a flight over fight sort of animal.

I did consider the fairy Armadillo, but here is what i actually picked :

I decided on the Six-banded Armadillo for you. You expressed an affinity to the armadillo and these are pretty cool animals.

The Six-banded Armadillo or Yellow Armadillo is a solitary animal, which spends plent of time by itself, and goes back to its den like you go back to your room.

While they have their armor, the armadillo actually flees more likely from a predator, or digs to safety. You said you would like an anmial that flees.

And while they have short legs, they can actually run really fast.

Mine didn't get picked, but I thougth the spotted tailed quoll might have suited you:

* The applicant wanted to be someplace that wasn't too cold, and the spotted tailed quoll is native to Australia, which is I think warm enough. * They've got a wide range of habitat, though. She said she wouldn't mind living in a forest and that's where they are most often found.
* Spotted tailed quolls are nocturnal which matches our applicant's sleeping patterns.
* Spotted tailed quolls are solitary creatures, much like our applicant.
* One of the characteristics she was interested in having was special or exotic markings and the spotted tailed quoll has, well, spots. :

Regardless of whether or not your animal was chosen, I'd really enjoy hearing what everyone voted for and why.

This is what i said :

I had an idea of a keen-eyed bird in the begining of your app, and by the end i wanted nothing else but the barn owl. (and the lynx, but i'm sure you'll get that anyway)

Owls not only are more sensitive to small sounds but have asymmetrical ears (one ear being lower on the skull than the other) this means sounds from a single source reach the ears at slightly different times. This gives the owl the equivalent of binocular hearing, allowing them to pinpoint the source of a sound extremely accurately. Barn Owls, Tyto alba, can locate and catch small mammals in complete darkness using only their hearing, which is something you really wanted.

They are night animals, but can sometimes be seen during the day.

You also said you liked the air, and hello bird, but they do soar rather pretty, as long with

They are very pretty and have some lovely markings and color. & super predator!

Mine was chosen for you! I picked the Northern Harrier. (Sorry about the assumed gender--all my app votes default to she):

* Our applicant is a critical observer and says she's got a keen eye. The harriers in general use their sharp observation skills which matches this aspect of our applicant.
* The applicant felt most at home in the air so I thought a soaring bird might suit her best.
* She says she loves rain, just a light drizzle of it, and I think that the hen harriers live in moorlands and forests in parts of the northern hemisphere, which I think suits her preferences for weather as well.
* Finally, she also wished for an animagus form that can camouflage itself. The hen harrier is plain brown and its coloring blends in well with its environment.

Mine was picked for yours too! :D I picked the shortfin mako shark:

* First of all, the applicant prefers the water, so it was a matter of figuring out which marine animal to choose.
* She said she wanted to be able to swim fast, and the shortfin mako shark is actually a prized catch among some fishermen because it swims so fast and is hard to catch.
* She also prefers warmer weather, and the shortfin mako inhabits temperate and tropical seas in general.
* Our applicant is mostly a loner, and the shortfin mako shark is a solitary creature.
* The applicant is nocturnal as well and so is the shortfin mako shark.

Here's mine:

Common Octopus

I've been in the water since I was about three.
--> I think your connection with water is what comes out most strongly from your application.

loner, heavily values independance
--> The Common Octopus is solitary.

I'd like to be able to move in a relatively fast manner
I also think camouflage is the coolest thing ever
--> The Octopus is able to swim up to 25 mph. It is able to change colour to blend in with its surroundings.
Here's mine.
