A friend of mine found a pit bull that was abandoned right in front of her house. Well, her son found the dog, but she still took the dog in and she's so sweet! She thought at first that the dog was a mix, but she took her (the dog) to a gathering for pits and the woman she talked to said the dog is a purebred red-nosed pit bull. She's been trying to find another home for the dog because her backyard is small, but people only want her for dog-fighting and my friend doesn't want that to happen to this dog. So she may end up keeping her. I'd offer to take her, but our backyard isn't properly fenced in or anything.

I don't follow any animal blogs (I only have a hamster, pretty low maintenance you know?) I watch a lot of Animal Planet. One of the kids at my mom's daycare is addicted to that channel. SO. I am recommending Animal Cops. It's sometimes hard to watch, seeing how people can be so cruel and leave their animals behind or just treat them like crap. But then you see the good in people too, the one's that do everything they can to save them. :D

I love Black Beauty. Just re-read it a month ago. I also love White Fang and Call of the Wild. Those are the only two Jack London books I've read.

Oh, and I'm a big fan of The Great Mouse Detective and I've even read the novel by Eve Titus. (Vincent Price as the voice of Ratigan *fans self* dat voice!)

Another favorite movie of mine is Spirit. Gotta love a good horse story. :D

And there is, of course, Happy Feet. Tap-dancing penguins ftw!

Oh man, I love Spirit. It's amazing how they were able to show the horses' personalities without making them talk (well, aside from the narration). I just wanted to throw that out there.
