Yep, I think we should add the lettuce or raw deer meat thing (er...more or less). It seems to me it would rule out staunch vegans getting floppy-eared puppy or fluffy kitten animagi...remember, those animals are still predators who have no qualms about munching on day-old squirrel remains!

Your suggestions are great, thanks!

For #1, I do think pushing for a species should be restricted to 1 question. As a voter it gets frustrating if it's in the whole app.

Lettuce vs raw deer meat? I'm suddenly glad my animagus is a vegetarian. I don't think a lot of us would be tempted by a diet of fresh raw meat, or even grass/hay.

Photos are EXTREMELY helpful, because the books state that animagi typically mimic their human markings and traits when in animal form. Photos are worth so much more than a description (people like to alter their descriptions to sound more enigmatic--basically paint a picture of a Mary Sue of themselves, for better votes). Also, I think a lot of people shy away from posting photos out of fear of criticism (everybody who has ever posted a photo online has at least at SOME point been trashed by some d-bag--for me, it was over my "ugly nose"). Unfortunately, if I'm deciding between two or three valid choices for someone's animal, a picture can be the tie-breaker...maybe they have uniquely large doe-eyes or a cat's posture or a haircut that resembles a cockatoo. I'm not going to vote cat just because somebody describes themselves with "cat's eyes and a feline smile"...I want to see those things, because something else might be a better match.
I think if we stressed why we need those things it would create a safer environment and people ( ... )

Thanks for sharing. It's good to know this question is useful to some. I never really know how to use it myself.

a.) 'Pushing seems to have been passively encouraged because it can make voting easier for some, and no one wants to rob an applicant of their choice animal. But it takes the fun out of voting when you read an app and know that you've been led along the entire time. 'Pretty much this ( ... )
