Hi Huushiita!

Your application is now up and subject to questions from our judges. It would be great if you could answer all of your questions by the 9th of August (Sunday), or earlier if possible. The judges will cast their votes once all questions have been answered.

Thanks,
Heather, Appeals Mod

Hey, Huushiita!
I've got a few questions to ask. :)

1. Which qualities do you respect in other people?

2. How do you respond to conflict?

3. You're given the opportunity to be Minister of Magic for a day. Do you take it, and if so, what do you do?

I may be back with more later, depending on your answers and the other judges' questions :)

1. You're stranded on a desert island. You get one CD, one book, and one person. Whom and what do you bring and why?

2. Sort Barty Crouch, Jr. Into which house would you send him and why? Sort Barty Crouch, Sr. Into which house would you send him and why?

3. Fight, flight, face, or freeze: how do you respond to immediate danger?

4. Re-sort the following canon characters (none can go to their original house unless you make a REALLY convincing argument): Remus Lupin, Draco Malfoy, Luna Lovegood, and Cedric Diggory.

1) The desert island question. :) I would bring my boyfriend, Infected Mushroom's 'Converting Vegetarians' album, and Raymond E Feist's novel, 'Faerie Tale'. My boyfriend and I often have serious conversations which involve various theories regarding life and its many mysterious. We also our fair share of very silly moments where all we do is laugh until we cry. He comforts me when I'm feeling down, comforts me when I'm unsure and helps build up my self-esteem when it's shaky. He's an amazing person, and I would be very saddened if he were not with me. The novel, 'Faerie Tale' I keep re-reading over and over again. It got to the point where I ended up having to buy a second copy. I love faeries, and this one is dark and shows the 'real' life people go through when dealing with the Sidhe. It also reminds me that when the chips are down, my family is always there to help pick up the pieces. I'd want to be reminded of that if I were on an island as I hold my family extremely dear to my heart ( ... )

3) I'm actually pretty calm when I find myself in a dangerous situation. I face it and do the necessary actions that are needed to get me out of harms way. After that, I usually panic or may even end up going into shock. There have been many times when I was driving along the road at night and need to slam on my breaks lest I hit a form of animal life (usually bucks or does). I think 'oh hey thar, I need to stop quickly before killing both of us', and I do. Then, when the vehicle is at a stop and I'm staring at the animal as it stares at me before bounding off, that's when I usually get shaky. Then, I just... tell myself 'see, you did good,' take a few moments to recollect myself and continue on ( ... )

1. Please explain why the following people are in Hufflepuff, as well as point out their un-Hufflepuff traits:
Ernie MacMillan, Zacharias Smith, Cedric Diggory and Tonks

2. Please order from most important to least, and explain why:
wisdom, justice, love, family, friends, intelligence, power, money

3. Please take this test. (If it's not 50% correct take it again.) What is correct and what is incorrect? Which houses do you see in your answer?

Thank you.

1) Ernie MacMillan's in Hufflepuff because even though he at first spoke out against Harry Potter in Chamber of Secrest, he soon realized his mistake when Hermione was petrified. Since then, he's been a sort of follower from afar, ever loyal, and ready to speak up in defence for both Harry and Dumbledore. Though Ernie seems to be a bit of a hot head and a rather emotional student, which is a lot like Gryffindor ( ... )

1. Could you please reconsider your answer on Zacharias Smith? He was a Hufflepuff so there are quite a lot of Hufflepuff traits.

Okay. I have reconsidered my answer overnight and I must say that I must stick to the fact that even though he was sorted into Hufflepuff, I do not see the usual traits in Zacharias. This is why I don't believe he should belong in this House:
He is not loyal. At first he was against Dumbledore's Army. Yes, he did join after awhile, but he was still speaking out against Harry. Then, at the end, during the big battle against the Death Eaters, he ran away. That's cowardly.

I quote "...there was much pushing and shouting; Harry saw Zacharias Smith bowling over first years to get to the front of the queue, here and there younger students were in tears, while older ones called desperately for friends or siblings".
Okay, he runs over FIRST YEARS to get away. That's just not cowardly, that's insensitive! Where's usual Puffian kindness ( ... )

1. Who would be your favorite teacher at Hogwarts and why? Least favorite and why?

2. Who do you consider your role model, why do you look up to this person?

3. I went and looked and you were credited as completing 2 activities in July and 2 activities in June - do you honestly feel this is active enough to appeal?

4. If you were kept with us in Hufflepuff would you stay in HiH or would you leave - please be honest.

1) Least favourite is Hagrid. Yes, he's loving and has a heart of gold, be he really ought to hold his tongue a lot more guardedly than he has. Telling 11 year olds about Fluffy? I'm sorry, but that's just bad taste, and he's not to smart. I found myself absolutely horrified when I found out about him keeping Grawp... and then asking Harry to look after him ( ... )

Re: 4
I have a different impression of your stance on this, regarding the (1) AIM chat I've seen in houseunity. Please be honest in your appeals application because this is what we are voting on. Anything else doesn't get considered except for your initial application and your appeals application.
(:

So, you'd really be okay with going back into Hufflepuff?

I don't know what impression you have, but I am being 100 percent honest in this appeal. I'm rather taken aback that you don't think I am. May I ask you why you think I'm not being honest?

I will also state, I'd rather notbe placed back in Hufflepuff. I'd rather go to Slytherin, or Ravenclaw.
To reiterate, regardless of the outcome, I do plan on being active.
