Week Name/Date/Time: 'Countdown to Darkness'/ Monday, October 24th, 2005/7:45pm
Location: Slytherin Common Room
Open To: Any Slytherins.
Currently Involving: Romey Wyrien
Tomorrow was closing in. She would wake up in the morning and be officially twelve. Just the thought of it made her anxious, or maybe it was the fact that she all by herself in a rather dark common room. Even with a full belly, Romey was far from content. She had her charms books open in her lap, but it might as well as have been shut - she was paying so little attention to it. Between the fire and the darkness, she was ready to run up to bed and hide beneath her covers; which was completely feasible, considering no one was about.
/Bloody hell Romey! Grow a spine! You don't need anyone to watch you like some sort of baby. You're going to be 12 in a few hours. Honestly./ She scolded herself, looking grimly as embers danced playfully across a log. Thinking of that girl she attacked, Romey realized that she was probably never nervous about sitting in the common room by herself; that girl, Morgan or something was her name, was a gryffindor, after all. What she did have to fear anyway? Unlike some other students, she didn't have to worry about Death Eaters sneaking up on her. Unless her parents had been up to some funny business they hadn't bothered to tell her about. Looking around suspiciously, Romey half expected to see some adult sneaking up on her with their wand out, and a look of evil on their face. She was greeted by more darkness; which was neither fortunate nor unfortunate.
Thinking again about her birthday, Romey was praying that Ana would not get her chocolate cake. Vanilla was what she was looking for, and it wasn't as if she could transfigure the cake without Ana and Armand noticing. Sighing loudly, she shut her book, stood up from her spot on the floor in front of the fire and took a seat on the couch. It was rare she ever got to actually sit on the furniture, so she figured she shouldn't waste this one.
