It had been a good few days since Rylie had been able to set foot in the library. Of course, she'd been forced to for Study Hall earlier that day, but other than that? Well, it was an odd sorting of feeling she'd get when she entered. The first of which was a dream-like state where she remembered Sebastian's birthday with a goofy smile, and the next being the absolute dread of seeing a book out of place. Now she knew how Sebby felt when he was amongst the shelves. She'd worked so hard to make sure everything was in correct order, and she just knew that with the passing of days, there'd be something amiss.
So, now she sat somewhat comfortably in the common room, humming a tune of her own creation as she continued to work on short stories. Yes, she'd gone from plot outlines to actual writing. She was very proud of this fact, naturally, but there was always the occassional block that had her baffled. How could a brain shut down so easily? It seemed unnatural.
She took a break from humming, sighed, and tapped her quill quietly on the edge of her journal. What was a good word for the opposite of amusing? For whatever reason, the only think coming to mind was not amusing. BAH!
"Boring, depressing, grim, displeasing...unfunny?" Rylie muttered to herself, shaking her head. Oh how she missed synonyms! Though, what was the naming of antonyms but synonyms in disguise? Possibly. Bugger.
