Lunch was finished and Daphne had the rest of the afternoon to do as she pleased. Unfortunately, she didn't have much in mind as her homework was nothing to worry about and she wasn't particularly interested in spending time in the Slytherin common room just now. Too many ickle ones were prone to be about at this hour and Daphne was not very fond of children. It was hard to be fond of such a thing when you'd never really been one yourself, after all.
So she found herself wandering the corridors looking for some decent company. It seemed rather pathetic that there was so little of it in this castle, but there wasn't much to be done about that. Well, not until she could finish her schooling and be out doing what she planned to do. Then... Well, then she was sure she could effect some proper changes for the school. Just the idea of it made her lips curve into a slight smirk.
She turned a corner and her eyes landed on Colton Vane just a short distance away. Her smirk grew wider until it was nearly a smile, as she was feeling pleased to have found some of that decent company, after all. She approached slowly and gracefully, giving him that unnerving, predatory smile she used on everyone, "Good afternoon, Colton. Seems I've not seen you in quite some time. Are you well?"
