It was as if she were exiled from the castle. She hadn't meant any harm, sketching that older slytherin girl from across the hall. It wasn't Maddy's fault the girl had a "curvacious figure, that the likes of which a third year runt couldn't understand," as the snake put it when she saw the drawing. Or as Maddy would say, she needed to lay off the afters.

So after putting up a bit of a fuss she found it easier to just take her sketch pad and pencils outdoors, not that it was likely there was anything worth sketching out there. Still it was better than facing an angry gaggle of Slytherins. She took refuge in the shade of a rather large tree, a few hundred feet from the lake. The last thing she needed was the sun bringing out more of her freckles, and likely giving her a nasty burn as well. At least she could be thankful exams were over.
