Week Name/Date/Time: A Moment's Peace/Tuesday, October 4th, 2005/4pm
Location: Lake Side
Open To: Soren Sigurd
Currently Involving: Julian O'Brien

It had been very cold in the morning; Julian had had to trudge across the grounds to get to study hall. Luckily, the temperature had risen and it wasn't that bad out. In fact, he didn't even have his winter jacket on. As he walked down to the lake, several flasks clattered noisily in his pocket and he pressed his jacket against his thigh to silence them. How suspicious would that look? A boy attempting to be inconspicuous (but failing miserably) with a loud clanking sound coming from his pocket. Julian reckoned very suspicious, so he started swinging his free arm, as if that might help him blend into the basically non-existent crowd.

There were so many spots along the lake that it was a moment before he could pick an appropriate one. Julian had been looking for a spot that was generally hidden, but as he surveyed the area, it appeared no such spots existed. Plopping down, he figured if nothing else, Soren would be able to see him. He removed four flasks from his pocket, looking closely at them. It did seem reasonable that this was "Orange Lemonade", even if it was not. Julian had yet to drink any of the potion, and he hoped it would turn out all right. It was safe, but how would it taste?

Julian ruffled his hair and smoothed out his jeans, waiting (this time patiently) for Soren. He expected that his friend would not try to sneak up on him this time around, but there always the possibility; every so often Julian glanced over his shoulder suspiciously. Ever since he had admitted that he could not enlarge his own cauldron, he had been practicing. He had had enough of being embarrassed of his skills. Now, he sat with his wand prodding a small blade of grass, watching it enlarge and shrink back to original size rapidly. If only this worked all the time, on big things like cauldrons.
