Currently Involving: Future! Rylie
This was not supposed to be so difficult. They'd gone over this a hundred times before. She wasn't poisoning him, she wasn't tricking him, and yet her stomach tumbled with nerves and her hand shook as she stood at the kitchen counter. Rylie should have been able to rationalize it all by now. She'd been in love with Sebastian for years, and had been in a relationship with him longer than that, had known him even longer than the previous that, and probably knew him better than anyone! She closed her eyes and thought back to the proposal.
That had gone smoothly. As smooth as a proposal from Sebastian Rivera could possibly be. And she'd been deliriously happy for months on end as they planned and talked and prepared for the future. But as much as they'd grown and changed and learned together, Sebastian was still himself. That was something that Rylie appreciated more and more as time passed, but today? Today it presented her with a slight problem.
Today they were finally getting married. And it wasn't that part that had Sebastian's awkwardness reaching new heights, as far as Rylie knew. It was just that whole bit about declaring his love for her for...forever in front of a fairly great number of people. Rylie was from a rather large and muggle family, some of whom still had no idea she was, in fact, a witch. Sebastian came from an even larger family. Over the years they'd exchanged stories from grandmothers with canes and smelly Aunt Flopseys. Actually meeting these people, interacting with them, and spending an entire day devoted to doing so? Not appealing, though slightly humorous in Rylie's eyes.
And so she'd agreed to do what he'd asked of her, as she still hadn't quite mastered NOT agreeing with him, and prepared a potion for the occassion. Just enough to help him relax, and all would go well. He wanted to calm his nerves. He was doing all of this for her, though it made her even more nervous to think that something could go wrong.
Telling herself it wouldn't go wrong, she poured a bit into his tea and joined him at the table.
"Been a few months since I've had to brew something up, but don't worry. I don't think any simple mistakes with this one lead to death," Rylie teased him with their trademark smirk.
It would be fine. Possibly.
