I have not seen much of Leverage, but I'm scrolling through the awesome work that cartography did for you and it's ace! I really need to watch Leverage one of these days.
AW HELL NO. Seriously, I ship River with about damn near EVERYONE. Mal Reynolds, John Sheppard, Han Solo, and other space cowboys all owe her favors; Irene Adler, Lisa Cuddy, Elizabeth Weir, Adele Dewitt, and so on and so forth I could femslash happily til the day I die and after.
I also drop her into the verses of Downton Abbey, ER (obvs), Farscape, BSG, and Buffy/Angel.

You dooooo. IMO, it's a fairly formulaic show (what isn't nowadays?) but the cast is amazing and their's (gasp!) real character development and also pretty much everyone is hot. So. GO FORTH AND WATCH! :D

River Song & Peggy Carter, from Captain America! GUN-TOTING BADASS LADIES, OMGGGGGG. Sometimes they swing through the sixties and pick up Moira MacTaggart from XMFC and they all have brunch in Space Paris and talk about guns. ♥_♥
What's twisted is that the fights Doctor and Amy have with the Scottish stuff, I imagine my grandparents having those fights as they were Scottish and English.
You should watch Doctor Who, bb!! IT IS AMAZING. You would love River Song. If you took Elizabeth's fabulousnesss and combined it with John's military badassity and added some time travel, you'd have a close approximation to how AWESOME she is. ;)
