Yes, yes I believe I did just do that. hahaha
I was watching the news after I got home from my run yesterday and they started spewing out all these facts (not hyped up news, but actual facts), and to make matters worse there was good old President Bush bumbling around "addressing our concerns" regarding God knows whatever we're doing. It's never a good feeling watching the absolutely transparent man running our country... Bush went on to say that we "only see what's in the news, not all of the good that's coming of it." Oh, and "we've got a long way to go" my ass!! It was the most depressing 15 minutes of news. I finally just turned it off. Maybe... if we're all still alive after the next 3 years, we'll think a little more wisely in our choice for the next president. I think I'd venture to file this round under the "Mased, bitch slapped, kicked to the curb" phenomenon.

well, Bush is right about the fact that all we get is what is in the news, but I'm not entirely sure that there is some magical good coming out of it that we aren't seeing...I have enough issues with our news systems as it is, but it is true that we really have no idea about whats going on unless we are actually IN it (in Iraq, in the bush cabinet meetings, etc). which is purely awful. we are so removed that to know what is realllly going on is real difficult to know. you should watch Control Room. its a documentary about the war. and its wonderful.
