I think we wont talk about yesterday, it was bad. Instead lets talk about you.

Question Of The Day

What is you're most forbidden pleasure?Let's start with mine, maybe it'll get you guys thinking. I'd have to say women who are involved with someone else. If you happen to be seeing someone else then immediately you have just become a thousand ( Read more... )

To an extent one of my forbidden pleasures is pain. Pain is such an interesting feeling. It hurts, but if you listen you hear the echos of pleasure within. At some points, when having my flesh seared, my mouth would drop open as i almost moaned in the pleasure of the pain. Does this mean i like getting hurt? Hell no. But, does this mean i know and enjoy the pleasure in the pain. Does one not enjoy the beauty of a snake colored so greatly as to show its deadliness? Is a bolt of lightning not one of the world's most beautiful sights? Is it not incredible to watch the world come back to life and heal after a natural disaster, as a wound heal on the body. These are all the same. The light in the dark. The good in the bad. The eternal balance.
The Pleasure In The Pain.

Mmmmmmm... Great imagery. Enough to cause me to contemplate the subject and agree to certain extents. I wouldn't have the tattoos I do, were it not for some part of my being enjoying that exquisite pain. Could be part of the reason I have such a daredevil attitude towards life.

By the way, did you know that the sensations of Pain and Pleasure are received, as well as travel, along the same nerve endings? Just some food for thought.

What is my most forbidden pleasure? Hmmmm...

(good question by the way; I am momentarily stumped)

I would have to say that my most forbidden pleasure is Flirting With Death In Small Ways. Like smoking daily, even though I know full well exactly what it will do to me. Like swimming in a giant conductor during a hurricane in the Lightning Capitol of the World. Like balancing on the arms of chairs when I get bored. Stuff like that. Nothing like playing chicken on the interstate. Just little things that if they were completely thought through would never be done simply because they are just as dangerous.

I think we can all agree from time to time we all do this, yet none of us perhaps as much as you. Props on a most original answer.

Tattoo boys who work, go home, do art and repeat...it's a disease really. Perhaps not original, but so true. How long have I had this problem now, and we all know I'm so over the pain thing that it can't even be an issue?!

Aw Lizzy, that's not a disease. You're fine ;) And even if it were I'd still love you with all my heart!

I, too, have to ditto the pain thing, but for different reasons. Perhaps for me it is a way to bring myself back to reality after all the daydreaming I do as a Pisces, and to remind me that I am a living, breathing creature that can feel. Pain is such a real feeling that it can not be denied. I'm not entirely sure if I'm a sadist or a masochistic, but that is another story entirely in itself.

Bleed just to know you're alive...
