I'm a PETRONAS scholar!
Left KISAS, Klang for SASER in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan… somewhere almost 2 hours away heading south. Ok, bro! Here I come! Dad stopped the car at an R&R for a short rest and pray. My mom n sis n I was in the musolla when I saw a friend of mine - Amal - who was fixing herself in front of the mirror. I went to her and we chatted a bit. What a coincidence to meet her there! ^^ And so I told her how nervous I was since the PETRONAS scholarship result is out today, at 8.00 am… and that Hadai n Athin succeeded! The soon as she left, I went back to where I sat earlier. My sis suddenly shoved me my handphone, and the rest of the conversation… :

Me : Yes, this is me.
Anonymous : I’m from PETRONAS. I would like to congratulate you on getting the PETRONAS Education Scholarship for Mechanical Engineering course.
Me : O_O Like really??? *I was literally speechless*

Me : …… mom! Mom! The PETRONAS guy said I got the scholarship!
Mom : Say thank you to him.
Anonymous : Miss? Miss??
Me : Yes.. Yes.. Thank you, thank you! *hugged mom*

Me : Owh sorry, I was just… shocked! Like.. this is so overwhelming.

Me : So, may I know the country I’m assigned to?
Anonymous : That… you’ll have to surf the website and read the details over there. There’ll be a letter as well that you have to return to us by fax before 15 of April.
Me : Ah, alright..
Anonymous : You still remember your ID and password?
Me : Yes, still remember them!
Anonymous : Good, then you can open it and download it. So, are you going to accept the scholarship?
Me : Errrr… think so~ *coz I haven’t decide between PETRONAS n MARA!*

The ‘pos laju’ arrived 2 days ago! OMG, I can’t blv what Hadai said was true - prepare plenty of pens wif plenty of ink coz there’s lots of agreements and forms to fill in! xD
Anyway, I was assigned to a Pre-University / preparatory programme at :
Institution : INTEC (International Education Centre), Shah Alam
Course : AUSMAT (Australian Matriculation)
Duration : 18 months
*which means if I’ll ever be flying to the kangaroo-land, it would be somewhere late 2012 / early 2013.. long wayyy to go!*
Registration is on 03rd of July 2011! That’s a plenty of time to get ready! ^^
According to the agreement, my living allowance would be RM500 per month. Well, that isn’t luxury, but I suppose it would be enough to keep my stomach full everyday and buy some new clothes only when I need one~ ^^ Owh n second most importantly - reload my phones! <3
So I guess, that’s it! Need to get back to signing all the agreements!
