I've noticed my body does weird things like that but it's almost always nothing. (Or it coincides with something like wearing new shoes and turns out those shoes just don't work for me. For some reason that gives me abdominal or hip pain rather than anything leg or back related).
But otherwise, yeah, exactly. I mean, I *am* sick, even if relatively mildly, so there is a higher likelihood of weird stuff tying in. And even if it is really kind of unusual symptom-wise, I know the "call a doctor" rule of thumb is "give it three days unless it is *really* affecting your functioning". Which it is not. So we'll see, but yeah, hopefully just some innocuous flare, especially as we're getting older, haha.
From my experience, mittleschmertz shouldn't be a sharp, shooting pain that repeats every so often! But every woman is different, so maybe.
To get a better idea of appendicitis, you can assess for rebound pain-- basically you press down on the lower right where you're feeling the pain and if, when you release, you have a sudden strong attack again that's another indication of appendicitis.
:-( That sounds truly awful. Sorry you're having this!
Agreed! Maybe sharp and shooting for some, but not that many times or it'd really be churning them out :). I guess that was probably the wrong word, but was wondering if it could ovulation related *somehow* even if not literally that...
I'm wondering if it is something digestive even if the location is a little weird for that. It's still happening, but has gotten a bit more mild. It is now tender in between, and hurts when I take a deep breath, but is definitely not severe nor worse on rebound. Still not enormously distracting or setting off bad instincts so waiting and watching for now, with the small worry that there is a blizzard today so it things do get worse, that's bad timing (but we're in an urban area close to help)

Anyway, I hope you're able to figure it out!
