Anime Expo 2010!!!
Can't believe the weekend is over!!!
I did so much and had so much fun this year!!!
Special thanks to kixies , ener , kyubikitsy , muralasa , ha_chan , stephachu , djtrnx, waynekaa, and Nelson for hanqing with me at the con!!! waiting in lines, concerts, and hooking it up!
Here's mine con report!
Day 0: Wednesday
When did this become the day everyone picked up their badge? I thought I was being smart to pick it up on day 0 and no one else knew about it... but but! totally wrong! ^^; Met up with Stephanie and Rene around noon and brought them some buns from "Oh my buns!"! Camwhored and took entertained out selves with the DSi!
Picked up badges around 3:30p, then waited in line for concert tix! Caroline and Peter later met up with us and umaibo.... *drool*... then resting time with Rene at the hotel room! Finally... dinner at Curry House!!! Day 0 = finished... o_o so tired after just day 0!
Day 1: Thursay
Arrived at the con around 10:00a and ManoEri!!! Actually wasn't at Expo at this point... it was the Club Max event! Met up with Stephanie and Audra in front of Club Nokia and rushed upstairs. Thanks so much to Wayne for hooking it up with press! Mano Erina is soooo cute! She has a bit of acne, but still so cute! Stephanie left to run for another event ~ so Audra and I enjoyed watching "Kai Ki: Tales of Terror." The first story was soooo scary! There were times when I was screaming with Audra! XD So much fun!!! The only sad thing is that she was only giving signs to the first 25 people T__T We missed it by a few people... sadness. It's ok though... next time? I bought the Hello Channel mook and a photo set for ManoEri! T__T no sign...
Afterwards, we waited for the VIP event at 3p...? but it ended being ??? Nothing really happened except them giving us free pizza... except that I can't eat pizza! LOL. We were about to leave, then ManoEri walked out to do an interview with TokyoPop... then left. So we left afterwards... and thought about maybe walking to the convention center for dealer's hall... but it was time to go to the AKB concert! YAY! Thanks so much to Nelson for being super awesome and hooking it up with awesome seats! *love love love* Row 4 XD
AKB48 concert was great! I had such a fun time fist-pumping and giving my energy to the idols. LOL. But... I couldn't tell if they were singing live or with vocal track? It sounded tooo much like the CD tracks... so hopefully they're just really good, but I wish there was more variety (except for English ~ "Bingo"). But still great! Had so much fun! Arms got so tired afterwards ^^;
Afterwards we ran back to the convention center to get autographs... and and! FAIL. The line moved soooo slow. Only 10 people at a time... I don't know if it was AX's fault or AKB management... but T___T so slow! I was so tired and hungry after this that I headed home to eat x sleep!
Day 2: Friday!
Wore my Sakura costume! Yay Street Fighter! Can't believe I actually cosplayed! Camwhoring in the line for AKB panel!
T__T cause some of the questions were "..." and only half of the girls were there! Also... the girls I knew weren't there! the "manager?" was there answering questions also... so he answered a little under half of them. =( I feel like I didn't get enough of the girls personality. *sad* There was an autograph session afterwards... but after last night's disappointment I decided to run around instead!
I thought about going to a fighting games gathering... but I got scared once I got there! *LOL* I heard about the gathering from Lily, but she wasn't there... but I ran into Kie wearing Makoto! She looked so cool! We took a couple photos together on her camera, so waiting ^^ Here's a camwhore photo from my DSi.
The funniest part for me walking around was the fact that I was cosplaying! When people asked to take a picture of me I was so surprised! like "me??? really?" LOL!
Then... May'n x NakaMegu concert!!! O___O Really Really really...! Really great performers!!! Yoko Kanno made a special guest appearance!!! SUCH a great concert!!! Again again... thanks thanks thanks to Nelson for close seats! 3rd row! XD Sat with Stephanie and Nelson and Rene was right behind us! Also super great because the people in front of us (row 2 o_o) did not show up! So no one was in front of us except for 2 skinny girls who sat down majority of the concert! Clear view!!! First time seeing May'n and Mamegu in concert... and SO awesome! Definitely a fan now *__*
LOL since we were so close, watching the screen Stephanie and I would wave our glowsticks strangely so we could recognize ourselves! XD It went a little overtime, but it was great! The only bad point was that it ran over the Danny Choo panel... so I missed it T_T
Afterwards Caroline was kind enough to take pictures of me in Sakura! LOL I think I forgot how to pose as a cosplayer...
Finally got to run to the dealer's hall and really really go shopping! Yay!!!
Then dinner... @__@ CPK was "closed" so we went to Little Tokyo and ate at Zencu! ... wearing cosplay! XD Luckily Karrie and Steph were wearing K-on so I wasn't the only one! Karrie and Steph are sooo cute as Yui and Mugi!!!
Day 3: Saturday!
Ahhh! Overslept! (＠Д＠；Oops. Arrived at the con around 3:00p! Meant to arrive around noon... but oh well! I wore my meido outfit! Misa-chan from Maid-sama! I wore my circle lenses!!! Leah Dizon brand XD First time ever! I felt a bit like an alien wearing them!

Met up with my wushu friends ~ Tommy & Chris (also their friend *sorry, forgot her name*) and took some great pictures with people!!! Yum... Hichew King! and and and! The Super Yaoi Bros!!! Too bad Toad wasn't there, but there was Hard Gay Bowser! Also ran into the green and pink ranger... which was the best because they were named "Tommy" and "Kimberly"!!! That's us!!!
My main goal was to go to Danny Choo meet & greet at ESPN zone!
Yay! Goal accomplished! I actually forgot my sign boards the first time so I told him that I'd be back later but just wanted a picture first! I ended up comi Then daughters! Saber-chan! XD
Then... a Trololo photo happened.
I did end up coming back... and running into Stephanie Yanez there! We took a group picture and I got him to sign my shikishi! XD I asked him to draw a heart and he said he couldn't draw very well... but he tried and put "shine" to the heart on the corner =D
Then... HUNGRY!!! Steph had to run to a dinner with Tinerme (being as famous as she is) and me, Pheter, and Dave walked around and found Steph (Kix) and Rene at Katsuya! Soon others showed up! This continued with me feeling up on Jeremy and Peter taking some disgruntled random shots of me with a death glare.
Then... a random 20 minute photoshoot... that was kind of awkward. I'll tell you the story in person. Then... ParaPara!!! LOLs.
Finally dinner. Surprise birthday dinner for Karen...? She got me good and surprised me by not showing and having the fake birthday party for me become a reality! LOL. Happy birthday... Karen?
Day 4: Sunday
OMG SOOOO tired! BUT BUT! The Danny Choo panel was at 9:00a!!! I woke up but fell back asleep and made it there late by 10 minutes! Because I woke up late, I didn't eat breakfast at home and forgot Karen's cake! FAILURE. The Danny Choo panel was amazing though! Yay for his video of Japanese school life and yay for Black Rock Shooter! Looks pretty cool!
Headed over to dealer's hall since it was 10:00a and yay for it just opening! Saw Audra and snapped a pic!
Forgot I was supposed to wait in line for Loy's friend but luckily I was there so early so I got a pretty good spot in line! Steph, Rene, and Lisa joined me later and we all got Konishi's autograph at the Bandai booth. He's pretty hot o_o
Then I thought I was alll done with standing in line... but nope! Musical GOH autographs!!! XD Totally okay with it though!
May'n and NakaMegu
I actually was really lucky! I was the last last person to get NakaMegu's sign! Sad that they wouldn't let Nelson get another sign... they only let one of us in, and Nelson was kind enough to let me go since I didn't get her autograph yet and he got hers the previous session. *__* friendship! Since I was the last sign I told her "イェーイ! ラッキー! 最後のサイン." When she wrote "I love you" ~ I repeated "Yay! I love you!" and she said "I love you!" So cute!
Finally! Time to walk around dealer's hall and buy more stuff! But I didn't find what I wanted! I did however see this guy!
Zack! The black ranger! He still looks good! Probably better with age!

Then... my swag. Found these P.O.P. figures for only $15 each!!! Usually sell for $28-$32... so I had to buy them! I've actually been eyeing them since Fanime... only need 2 more! Zoro and Nami! Also the One Piece 10th anniversary!!! Need Brook and Franky!!!
Lastly, I bought a $20 raffle ticket for a booth. You peel the back and whatever letter you get corresponds with the prize! I was eyeing an $80 Brook figure, but I ended up winning a juice glass! I was also looking at it earlier, but didn't want to spend money on it... so I'm glad I won it! Glad the glass and not a clear file *would have cried* ^^;
And that... was my expo!
