Columbine is instantly recognizable to me, but Littleton isn't. I'm sure the name Littleton was out there in the news at the time, but mostly they just said Columbine.

OK, thanks. That's super helpful.

I'm a native Coloradan and I had a boyfriend who lived in Littleton, so it is part of my history. Had to get the distance that somebody who is not from there has.

After I saw that more than one person didn't get the reference, I decided I needed to ask. I'l change it to use the word Columbine. Everybody should get that.

Colorado is a heck of a beautiful state. (I've been there twice, once in second grade and the second was a surprise trip in 1999.)

Colorado is amazing. It was a wonderful place to grow up. It was pristine and so beautiful when I was a child.

Now I wish all those people would leave so I could go back home.

Far, far too many human beings are living there in a very fragile ecosystem and that has ruined the state (in my opinion). It's on fire presently.

This is one of my Grandma's vintage pictures.

Hmm.... I have to admit that although I've read a good deal and heard a lot more about the Columbine shooting, I never did read or hear mention what town that high school was in.
So now I know: Littleton, CO.

I hope your foster mom is doing well (or at least did well) in her retirement village.

Thank you.

Foster mom moved back to California several years ago.

I think it is Columbine that people remember because that was the actual site and not the town that it is in, you know what I mean? You mention Littleton in conjunction with it and it rings a bell.

It seems that most people concur. Thanks.
