I don't get it. Is gear thing supposed to open up if you click on it? It didn't for me. Poor me!!

The gear is just a userpic. I have about 7 userpics that I can use when I make a post. They are usually used to express an emotion that goes along with the post. I used my engineer userpic to express that I was doing something or figuring something out. I have other pics that express other things. My post was mostly about the link that takes you to a site that will make a PDF of your entire LiveJournal archive and include all of the comments that were left on each post. It's a neat idea and it turned out rather well. Not that I'm particularly interested in have a PDF copy of my journal, its just a cool idea.
