For those Americans interested in watching the major-party conventions on television this week and next, do yourself a favor and tune in to C-Span, rather than one of the cable news channels or major broadcast networks. I was watching PBS, although you remind me that we do actually have C-Span. I usually don't mind the PBS analysis, although Michael Beschloss does annoy me.

We too discovered c-span (barely, it's way up at channel 950 on our cable system) and have enjoyed the coverage. So much more pleasant than the other options, although PBS wasn't too bad.
