Agreed - my main reason for using Facebook was the Classes aspect! I could join classes and find classmates (and learn their damn names). It was a great way to find someone to get notes from if you didn't have their contact info. That happened a lot, back in the day (like, 2004).

But yeah, it pretty much sucks now. I know all these people who keep going over to Facebook but they own everything you post! There's no privacy. At least I still own my content on LJ. Facebook is a shell of what it was and all the good stuff is gone.

I completely agree. The site your work is posted on should not dictate to whom it belongs.

Although I agree with you, at this point I'm not sure what to do about facebook, it has become a part of my life in such a way that I do not think I could ever delete it. They have, in effect, created a facebook addict out of me.
