Once you've done one of these, not-being-invited is no longer a Thing.

Anyway, we had a list like this but of course, my mom's family had to be taken into account. You try to keep it simple but it's always harder than you expect.

Oh, I'm sure I'll end up marrying someone who needs to have it all, so this simple plan will go out the window. But honestly, if I can make the wedding happen for less than $2,000, god willing, I will. I am that Jewish.

And honestly, I really think it'll only be family and the absolute closest friends I have at the time, who will probably number 2 or 3.

It's totally possible to do it. The venue and the food are the most expensive elements. You should check out offbeatbride.com for examples of people gettin' hitched on the cheap.

Not that this is about to be a reality or anything. But I had NO IDEA what I wanted (Andy did) and it took some time to figure out what we needed to do.
