1 - Thank you. So very much. WIsh it could be in person (you're a good hugger)
2 - I don't know. My kids are going to investigate what would be required for setting up a "Fund Me"-type webpage, on Facebook and/or elsewhere, at some time in the near future probably, that will either link to my paypal or have some donation link of its own.
If my insurance doesn't cover the most optimal treatment, I'm sure the cost will be a lot. A freakin lot; sometimes I hate this country. But then again, maybe Loma Linda will work with us. And if nothing else, a donation fund will buy me some weed, to make chemo more bearable :)
This is all just speculation at this point anyway. There are more tests to be done, to see how far it's progressed.
I'll bet Loma Linda won't even prescribe it, because they are a religious institution. Doesn't matter; with only a note saying what my condition is, we should be able to get it here in SoCal. I wouldn't want a lot anyway; I never was a pot smoker (even when the rest of my generation was), so I have built up no tolerance for it. It would only be to make the chemo more bearable anyway; I'm not trying to belatedly become a druggie :)
I'm so sorry to hear about this. (I first saw this on FB, but didn't want to make a longer comment there per your request.) I'm not sure what I can do all the way in OH besides donate a few bucks that I can spare and think of you. And fuck cancer and fuck our shitty medical system, for real.
Although, I got plenty of comments anyway. It's okay; what I wanted to avoid was any more ADVICE, as well as "I'll pray for you"-type comments. But no one did, so it's all good. ;)

What's a good way to transfer funds for medical expenses without PayPal's percentage cut?

Fingers crossed, everybody :)
