Belated Week 16 Thread - Those of you who were with Elle at the OSB Head's Up!

TL walks around after talking to the Headmistress and quietly gathers the folks together that had gone to the OSB to get Elle out. "Meet me in th'lounge at Fairgrove in half an hour if you wanna know what's goin' on."

Once he's told everyone, he goes to the lounge and waits.

Merry stopped in her room still thinking about the last 'trip' to the OSB. The small piskey proceeded to tear her room apart until she found something that would work as a blindfold. She put it on and with a racing heart walked down the hall, the stairs and headed for the lounge. By the time she got close she had found her balance and tried a cartwheel. By the time she reached the loung she decided to try a back walk-over. Each skill was done slowly requiring more strength.

Ash pulled on a Rowan sweatshirt. That should help me warm up. Time to go find something to eat. Ash trotted down the hall, down the stairs and headed for the kichen by the main lounge. Grabbing something out of the kitchen, He came out as Merry arrived. Watching Merry was always pleasent, and with a snack, more so. Then he noticed the blindfold and slmost dropped his snack. "Wow."

Of course since the walls don't move remembering where they are is not hard, a stray chair is dead ahead of Merry's next walk over. She leans back into the bridge just fine, then her legs are up in the air, coming down they are going to hit the chair.

Apple hangs in the air as Ash abandons it. Apple starts it decent and Ash is halfway across the lounge. Apple is partway to the floor as Ash snatches the chair as Merry is about to contact it. Apple splats onthe floor as Ash - and the chair - slam into the far wall of the lounge.

Elle sighs a bit and walks out to the lounge in Fairgrove. She hasn't changed at all, but she seems brighter then before. When she arrives at the lounge, she flops down in a chair and waits for TL to explain what's going on.

Peri's there, quiet, looking upset and concerned. She doesn't sit yet, pacing instead across the floor.

TL waits for folks to gather, then says; "Alright y'all. Ah'm gonna keep this short'n'sweet, if ah can. You all wanna know what's in the Old Science Building. Simplest terms, it's a critter from th'Deep Dreamin', some kind of Nocinista, the Headmistress says. Basically, it feeds on negative emotions, things like fear, doubt, anger, all that, an' then projects yer worst nightmares back at ya t'make ya give it more of what it needs. think of it as the worst kind of Ravagin' you can image, and ah figger that's pretty close. It's killed a fair number of people, and Lady Illyrie's managed t'lock it up in the buildin', keep it from hurtin' anyone outside of there."

He pauses a minute to let that sink in. "That bein' said, we got a plan. Questions 'bout what it is, what we know about it a'fore I explain?"

Elle nods. "Yeah. One, how'd it get there? Two, how'd Lday Illyrie manage to lock it up? Three why has no one done something about it before now?" Elle scrowls at the last one. Her mood seems very dark.

TL nods. "Fair questions. It got there by comin' out of a Trod that was opened years and years ago somewhere else. As to how's it locked up, Lady Illyrie's an Eiluned Sorceress, Elle, and keeps it locked up with a combination of Weaver Ward an'some other stuff.

As to the last? Because all the ideas they had? Didn't work. B'tween Spindle and I, we came up with something new and different. You understand we can't outright kill the thing, right? That it has to be sent back where it came from.. where it belongs."
