Why are my dogs sleeping underneath chairs? They look so weird right now, with all their heads underneath this one chair, with their bodies sticking out from underneath? Tres bizarre ( Read more... )

First of all, a big fish in a dumb pond is just a big dumb fish. Secondly, I don't think what we're doing is very indicative of what it'll be like once we start working. We're not gonna be up all night before work doing paperwork, so we'll actually get sleep (unless you choose to do something else). Maybe if you don't progress (grade wise) after this week you should say something to your instructor. Either tell her that you don't think your grades are on par with your performance or ask her what you should be doing differently to achieve the grade that you want. If you're making C's, then how are the "idiots" in your group doing?

I meant to say something to her today along the lines of "What can I do differently? What am I doing wrong?" Blah blah blah. The perplexing thing is that my paperwork/eval sheet has nothing but positive comments? So why then the 78. Anyways I was going to do this when she looked at our paperwork, but she never got around to it, so blasted. I did ask about prioritizing nursing dx (she definitely isnt in sync with the 1.safety then ABC then everything else) so maybe that will help.

The idiots failed the first week and are now in the low 70s. Which is what worries me because I feel like I'm performing way more than just 5 points ahead of them.

Did any of them have to stay today to talk to her? Mrs. Graves made people with a C or below (don't think anyone was below a C) average stay afterward to talk to her because tomorrow is the drop day for this rotation.

No. She wasn't even here today (friday). Mrs. Wright watched us. She has an Adult 2 group on another floor, but my patient was d/ced last night so I actually went to her floor and did random stuff with her Adult 2 people.

I am so freakin mad about these nursing dx prioritizations. what i do initially is right (by jcaho etc)--1.safety, then a/b/c/ then pain.
But she doesn't agree with that. She thinks the priority should be what they are here for (for example, my guy with pancreatitis, his major issue was pain, although that wasn't the priority for him b/c he also had chf) it makes me soo mad. i really want to get an A in that class. I hate her. I hope she gets irritable bowel syndrome.
