It's been a strange week. I spent two days in the office towards the end of the week with the other 3 members of my team, my boss and her boss. After several friend raved about how good The Rebel was I decided to give it a try, and they weren't wrong. I'm only a few episodes in but I was expecting...I'm not sure really. I think I was expecting it to be darker than it is. I mean, it's dark, but a bearable amount. So far it has mostly been spy adventures. It's pretty gripping stuff.

Jacqui suggested I go and get a PCR Covid test, because last time she had to self-isolate she was allowed back out once she'd registered a negative covid test.

I should have known that being vaguely excited about something would jinx it. A few hours after this post I got a notification from the NHS app saying I need to self-isolate for 10 days because I was potentially in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid.

Not a lot going on at the moment. I've pretty much settled back into my regular routine after getting back from Scotland.

Met my friend Emma for an outdoor lunch on Saturday which was nice. We got takeout food and sat in the park. We ended up chatting for nearly 6 hours. The novelty of in-person interaction after only talking on Zoom for over a year ( Read more... )
